About Creative Later Lives

The project began in 2022, building on over 6 years of work by The Creative Team based at Age UK Oxfordshire. Delivering strategic co-ordination, co-designed pilot projects, influencing channels, and a co-designed evaluation, the project began with the lived experience of older people, and it developed in response to their ideas.

The two flagship projects for Creative Later Lives are:

Creative Ageing Communities Project

The Banbury Heritage Project

The Banbury Heritage Project, a partnership between Historic England and Age UK Oxfordshire. The project, running between June 2023 and December 2024, explored how marginalised communities might lead on enhancing wellbeing where they live.
