Co-creating a Creative Ageing evaluation framework

The Creative Later Life project is a lived-experience led project, testing and learning new approaches that increase agency and equity of access for older people, so it was important to develop an evaluation that matched our ambitions. After discussing our initial ideas with various academic partners, it became obvious that we had an opportunity to go further, and develop a new ‘Lived Experience Evaluation Framework’, pushing back on many of the inherently ageist evaluation tools out there.

Supersum, an independent, not-for-profit innovation agency, have worked with us throughout the life of the project. Bringing ideas and approaches from other nationally significant projects, it was an opportunity to test new techniques in practice, and gain valuable feedback from the Creative Ageing Network. The evaluation framework is still in development, but Supersum have shared key findings, reflections, and provocations for the future.
